Empowerment

With the streets of old Madrid as a backdrop, this experience explores the process of female empowerment and the societal changes that have shaped women’s individual development.

A stage designer crafts this metatheatrical fiction alongside an actress who embodies various female roles. The audience becomes part of the cast, acting as a human mirror to the realities these women faced: a clandestine meeting in the 1920s, the absence of rights during the dictatorship, or the fight for freedom in the 1970s.

Reliving these past narratives alongside them creates a meaningful journey, repositioning them as the protagonists of their own stories. This immersive performance invites both the audience and the characters to reflect, ultimately posing a question: Is the key to learn—or to unlearn?
